Previs/ Layout Lead

We are seeking a Previs/Layout Lead to guide a team in the production of an animated series. This role involves overseeing the previs and layout processes, ensuring that camera work and staging align with the vision of the director. The ideal candidate will take a hands-on approach to cinematography, focusing on complex sequences that require careful lensing and character blocking to enhance storytelling. Key responsibilities include leading and mentoring the previs/layout team, managing workflow, and maintaining clear communication to ensure that team members feel supported and respected. The role also involves collaborating with editorial and animation teams to address any staging challenges that arise during production. Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of production experience in previs, layout, or camera work, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership position. A strong understanding of cinematography principles and extensive experience with relevant software, particularly within a Maya pipeline, is essential.
