Philanthropic Development Manager

This role is responsible for strengthening and expanding fundraising activities within a mission-driven organization focused on the protection of nature and wildlife. Reporting to senior leadership, the successful candidate will help increase and diversify revenue by building fundraising strategies, managing donor outreach, and developing partnerships with individuals, companies, foundations, and other stakeholders. You will lead annual fundraising planning, help set priorities, and track progress toward growth objectives. The position also involves building long-term relationships with supporters, including planned giving prospects, and creating proposals and partnership opportunities that support the organization’s goals. In addition, you will help prepare and assess benefit events, coordinate the work of colleagues involved in fundraising initiatives, and serve as a key contact for complex files. The ideal candidate has a university degree or equivalent experience, along with at least five years of experience in philanthropy or fundraising with clear results. Experience with major gifts is important, and experience leading a major campaign is considered an asset. Project or team coordination experience is also an advantage. Strong writing and speaking skills are required, as well as solid French. English and familiarity with standard fundraising databases and office software are assets.
