PFT - Director of Quality & Performance and Chief Privacy Officer

Under the supervision of the Chief Executive Officer, this role provides leadership and guidance to the data and decision support function in alignment with organizational priorities. The position is responsible for overseeing reporting, data quality, privacy, compliance, and performance improvement activities, while supporting effective service delivery and risk management across the organization. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing policies, procedures, and systems to support compliance with applicable legislation, regulations, standards, and internal requirements. The role monitors regulatory changes, maintains quality assurance processes, and strengthens data management practices to ensure accuracy, integrity, and security of information. It also involves defining and tracking key performance indicators, analyzing performance trends, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The position leads privacy program activities, including policy development, staff training, privacy impact assessments, access and correction requests, privacy breach response, and privacy audits. It ensures compliance with relevant privacy legislation and supports accountability in the handling of personal health information and confidential records. Additional responsibilities include supporting accreditation activities, coordinating audits or site visits, identifying and mitigating operational risks, and contributing to strategic and operational planning. The role also includes direct supervision of staff, coaching, performance management, and delegation of work.
