Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced operations leader to oversee day-to-day activity in a busy manufacturing environment. This full-time role carries responsibility for production planning, team leadership, quality, safety, and on-time completion of work. The successful candidate will be comfortable managing a fast-paced shop, coordinating priorities across departments, and helping a growing operation improve efficiency and accountability. Reporting to senior leadership, this person will work closely with supervisors, project staff, quality control, and purchasing to keep workflow moving smoothly from initial preparation through final shipment. Core duties include organizing schedules, balancing labour and equipment, tracking productivity and labour costs, resolving bottlenecks, and making sure customer commitments are met. The role also involves supporting hiring, coaching frontline leaders, handling performance concerns, and building a strong culture of teamwork and responsibility. In addition, the Operations Manager will help maintain high standards for workmanship and safety, ensure compliance with applicable workplace regulations, and look for practical ways to reduce waste, downtime, and rework. Experience in fabrication, welding, or a similar industrial setting is preferred, along with a solid background in supervising teams and managing multiple production priorities.
