Operations Manager

We are seeking an Operations Manager to oversee a medical transportation service in Calgary. This role is responsible for the smooth running of daily operations, with a strong focus on patient safety, service quality, compliance, and team leadership. The successful candidate will support both frontline staff and management in delivering reliable non-emergency medical transport and related clinical support services. Key responsibilities include coordinating daily schedules, dispatch, staffing, vehicle availability, and overall fleet readiness. You will lead a mixed team of clinical and non-clinical employees, including drivers, dispatchers, and support staff, while providing coaching, guidance, and performance support. A patient-first approach is essential, along with consistent adherence to operational procedures, safety expectations, and regulatory requirements. The role also involves maintaining strong relationships with clients, healthcare partners, suppliers, and other stakeholders. You will help monitor service performance, review operational data, and identify ways to improve efficiency, compliance, and customer experience. Additional duties include participating in budgeting and forecasting, supporting cost control initiatives, and carrying out regular inspections, training, and safety reviews. This position may also include coordination of medical standby coverage for community and special events.
