Mechanical Technologist

We are seeking an experienced mechanical technologist to support plumbing-focused building design work within a multidisciplinary engineering environment. This full-time role is suited to someone who can contribute to projects from early planning through to construction support, while working closely with engineers, clients, consultants, and other internal team members. In this position, you will help prepare and coordinate plumbing-related design documents for permitting and construction, review project requirements, and support quality control throughout the design process. You will also take part in coordination meetings, keep clear records, and help ensure drawings and other deliverables stay aligned with scope, schedule, and design intent. During construction, you may review submittals, respond to technical questions, and assist with site visits and project close-out activities. The ideal candidate has several years of relevant experience in building systems design or installation, along with a diploma in mechanical technology, architectural technology, or a similar field. Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and attention to detail are important, as is the ability to manage multiple assignments at once. A collaborative approach and the ability to work independently are both essential.
