Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to support equipment integrity, reliability, and the delivery of small capital projects in an industrial setting. This position combines technical problem-solving with project coordination, with a focus on keeping mechanical assets safe, compliant, and dependable while improving site performance through practical engineering solutions. In this role, you will work with operations, maintenance, engineering, and external contractors to assess equipment issues, recommend repairs, and help implement corrective actions. You will also contribute to inspection review, failure analysis, and risk reduction activities for rotating and fixed equipment. In addition, you will lead or support smaller projects from early scope definition through execution, commissioning, and close-out. Key duties include preparing project scopes, estimates, schedules, and work packages; reviewing drawings, specifications, and vendor information; supporting procurement and technical evaluation; and tracking budget, schedule, and progress. Field visits, construction support, startup coordination, and participation in safety-focused reviews will also be part of the role. All work must align with applicable engineering requirements and site safety standards. Qualified candidates should have a degree in Mechanical Engineering, professional registration in good standing, and several years of relevant experience in heavy industrial environments. Experience with integrity programs, reliability work, project delivery, inspection systems, and common engineering software is preferred. Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills are essential.
