Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Manager of Finance is responsible for the effective management of financial resources and the administration of employee compensation. This role includes supervising the Accounting Clerk and Bookkeeper. Key Responsibilities: Financial Management: - Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, principles, and policies. - Monitor revenues and expenditures against budgets. - Adhere to procurement guidelines and manage contracts effectively. - Forecast budget requirements accurately for the fiscal year. - Prepare financial statements and manage accounting software. - Generate reports and provide financial information. - Monitor cash flow, including incoming and outgoing payments. Administration: - Manage components of employee compensation by generating reports and contributing to the budgeting process. - Review and correct data for third-party payroll processing. - Set up new employees and modify payroll data as needed. Leadership & Human Resources Management: - Set and evaluate staff performance targets. - Promote diversity and a respectful workplace. - Foster teamwork and individual development while maintaining internal communication. Member Services: - Oversee staff ensuring members' access to necessary software and tools. - Manage software systems and assist new members with setup and usage. Other duties may be assigned as required. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and a commitment to client service. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to meet organizational goals are essential.
