An organization in the justice sector is seeking three full-time, permanent managers to lead major case and conflict services in different regions of the province. These leadership positions combine supervision, mentoring, and active criminal defence work on highly serious and complex matters. Each manager will report to senior leadership and will help guide case intake, assignment, and day-to-day operations for a team handling demanding files.
The role includes supervising lawyers and support staff, setting clear performance expectations, and supporting professional development across the team. You will also contribute to staffing decisions, workload planning, file review, and the use of modern, largely electronic case management practices. In addition, the position requires providing timely advice to detained clients where needed and maintaining a substantial litigation practice involving complex criminal matters, conflict files, and appeals. Court appearances may be required in a range of locations, including remote communities.
Qualified candidates will hold a law degree, be licensed in the province, and have significant criminal litigation experience. Strong advocacy, clear communication, sound judgment, and the ability to manage people and demanding files are essential. Experience with mentoring and leadership is considered an asset. A competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, paid leave, pension contributions, and relocation support may be available.
