Manager, Finance, Accounting Standards & Policies A full-time opportunity is available for an experienced finance professional to oversee accounting standards and policies within a corporate finance team. This role provides technical accounting guidance, supports complex accounting issue resolution, and contributes to the preparation of audit committee materials and other reporting deliverables. The position also plays a key role in ensuring compliance with IFRS, internal policies, and CEO/CFO certification requirements. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining corporate accounting policies, identifying opportunities for policy improvement, and providing timely responses to accounting inquiries. The successful candidate will interpret complex accounting matters, ensure the completeness and accuracy of financial information, and support cross-functional finance teams through coaching and subject matter expertise. The role also involves participating in special projects and ad hoc assignments as needed. The ideal candidate will have an undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field, along with a professional accounting designation and/or an MBA. A minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting or finance experience is required, preferably within a large organization with high transaction volumes. Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, internal controls, and corporate policies is essential, as well as advanced Excel skills and the ability to present financial information clearly to senior leaders. General knowledge of corporate tax is an asset.
