Manager, Community Services

A local municipality is seeking a dynamic and collaborative leader for the role of Manager, Community Services. This position involves planning, coordinating, and managing community facilities, parks, programs, special events, and related projects to effectively serve a growing community while optimizing resources. Reporting to the Director of Operations and Community Services, the successful candidate will work in a cross-functional environment. The ideal candidate will possess a post-secondary degree in business administration, recreation management, engineering, facilities management, or a related field, along with a minimum of seven years of progressive experience in community services. This includes at least three years in team leadership and project management. Strong expertise in facility management and community recreation planning is essential, as well as a solid understanding of relevant legislation and governance. Excellent communication and budget management skills are required, along with a commitment to maintaining high service standards. A satisfactory Driver’s Abstract and Criminal Background Check will be necessary. This non-union position offers a salary range of $114,688 - $139,404, commensurate with experience and education.
