Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to support the reliability and uptime of production equipment in a manufacturing environment. In this role, you will carry out planned and unplanned maintenance on industrial machinery, shop equipment, and facility systems to help keep operations running safely and efficiently. Key duties include inspecting equipment, identifying mechanical or control-related issues, and completing repairs before they lead to downtime. You will work with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, as well as basic automation and control components. The role also involves reviewing manuals, drawings, and work instructions to complete maintenance tasks accurately and safely. Additional responsibilities include supporting machine installations and upgrades, coordinating with outside technical support when needed, and helping manage spare parts and maintenance supplies. You will maintain clear service records in a maintenance tracking system and assist with both routine servicing and urgent breakdown response. Some fabrication or modification work may require the use of cutting or welding tools. The ideal candidate has post-secondary training in industrial maintenance, mechanical technology, or a related field, along with practical experience in equipment repair and troubleshooting. Strong problem-solving ability, good communication, comfort using maintenance software and office systems, and the physical ability to handle demanding work are important for success in this position.
