Legal Counsel

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Legal Counsel to support the continued expansion of a growth-oriented company in the advanced materials sector. This role will serve as the chief legal advisor to senior leadership and the Board of Directors, overseeing all legal affairs for the organization and its subsidiaries. Key responsibilities include managing general corporate matters, ensuring compliance with securities laws, overseeing mergers and acquisitions, and handling contract management. The Legal Counsel will also address employment law, regulatory matters, risk management, and intellectual property issues. This position requires drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of agreements, including commercial and financing contracts, while providing expertise on relevant laws and regulatory frameworks. The ideal candidate will have a strong proficiency in securities law, extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, and a proven track record in managing legal teams. A law degree and membership in good standing with the relevant bar association, along with 5-10 years of experience in corporate counsel roles, are required. Bilingual proficiency in French and English is preferred.
