Lead Simulation Engineer

We are seeking a senior engineer to lead the design and build-out of a simulation capability for warehouse and logistics operations. This role is based in Toronto with a hybrid work arrangement and is a full-time permanent position. You will report to a senior technical leader and take ownership of a new simulation engine that will be integrated into a broader product platform. In this role, you will turn real operating processes into simulation models at different levels of detail, choose suitable modeling approaches for each problem, and evaluate how the engine performs across a range of warehouse scenarios. You will also help define the product direction for this capability, set priorities, shape the roadmap, and guide implementation from concept through delivery. A key part of the role is building and leading a small team as the work scales. This is a hands-on leadership position suited to someone who is comfortable working in uncertain, early-stage environments where there is no existing playbook to follow. Strong judgment, technical depth, and the ability to explain tradeoffs clearly are important. Experience with complex operational systems, simulation, modeling, and product-oriented engineering is highly valuable.
