Justice and Correctional Services - Deputy Director of Justice and Correctional Services

This permanent, full-time position involves supporting the Director in the development and implementation of various programs and community engagement activities. The Deputy Director will collaborate with internal teams and external partners while overseeing multiple departmental programs. Key responsibilities include preparing reports and effectively communicating critical information to both internal and external audiences. The role entails assisting in the planning, development, monitoring, and implementation of administrative processes and procedures. The Deputy Director will lead quality assessments of services and programs, recommend improvements, and support the preparation of materials for advisory committees and public engagement. Additionally, the position involves overseeing the development of workshops and information sessions for judicial stakeholders, focusing on community values and legal systems. The Deputy Director will also assist in preparing presentations on justice-related matters, review media requests, and collaborate with Human Resources to address complaints and operational issues. Administrative duties include managing travel requests, planning meetings, and overseeing funding proposals. Candidates should possess strong leadership and communication skills, along with experience in program management and community engagement. A background in justice or related fields is preferred.
