IT Superintendent

This role leads site-based information and operational technology services for a large industrial operation. The successful candidate will oversee the planning, delivery, and ongoing improvement of technology support across infrastructure, cybersecurity, communications, user support, and digital systems used in day-to-day operations. The position is based in a city office with regular travel to site required each month. It involves working closely with operations, maintenance, technical teams, vendors, and corporate stakeholders to ensure technology services are reliable, secure, and aligned with business needs. Key responsibilities include guiding the site technology roadmap, supporting operational readiness, and ensuring stable performance of networks, servers, storage, telecommunications, cloud services, and end-user devices. The role also supports industrial systems, automation, remote access, monitoring, and other technologies used in a production environment. In addition, the superintendent will help manage incidents, assets, maintenance, upgrades, cybersecurity controls, disaster recovery planning, and project implementation from design through handover. The role also includes budget management, procurement, contract oversight, and team leadership. The ideal candidate brings a degree or diploma in a relevant field, extensive progressive IT experience, and several years in a leadership role within an industrial or critical operating environment. Experience with operational technology, infrastructure, networking, and cybersecurity is important, along with strong communication and people management skills.
