We are seeking an experienced fisheries professional to support aquatic field programs, environmental assessments, and permitting work for a range of projects. This position involves working closely with project teams to plan studies, prepare regulatory submissions, and provide technical input on compliance and environmental management matters.
The successful candidate will help coordinate permitting activities, contribute to fieldwork and reporting, and support communication with government agencies, Indigenous communities, stakeholders, and other project participants. The role also includes representing projects in meetings and workshops, assisting with presentation materials, and staying current on regulatory changes that may affect project delivery. In addition, you may help build and maintain professional relationships that support business growth and contribute to mentoring junior staff.
A bachelor’s degree in biology, fisheries, aquatic science, or a related discipline is required, along with several years of relevant experience in consulting, mining, or a similar environmental setting. Practical knowledge of aquatic field methods, such as water quality assessment, fisheries surveys, and benthic invertebrate sampling, is important. Experience with data management, field leadership certifications, and statistical analysis tools would be considered an asset. Proficiency with common office software and reporting tools is also expected.
This is a full-time, permanent role with flexible location options.
