Intermediate Electrical Designer

We are seeking an intermediate-level electrical designer to support building projects from concept through construction documentation. In this role, you will prepare electrical layouts, drawings, and related calculations for a range of building types, while working closely with engineers, drafters, and other project disciplines. You will help produce permit and construction-ready documents, check your work for accuracy, and ensure designs align with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements. The position involves a mix of independent work and team collaboration. You may also assist in guiding junior staff, contribute to process improvements, and take part in special initiatives that strengthen design workflows. Occasional site visits may be needed to review conditions in the field and support coordination with completed work. The ideal candidate has a diploma in electrical engineering technology or a related design field, along with several years of experience in building systems design. Familiarity with common drafting and design tools is expected, as well as a solid understanding of power, lighting, life safety, and communications systems. Strong attention to detail, good organization, clear communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once are important.
