Interior Systems Mechanic (Lather) Instructor

A full-time position is available for an Interior Systems Mechanic (Lather) Instructor/Coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering apprenticeship classes for all three levels of the Lather program, as well as introductory training and safety courses. Key responsibilities include developing daily lesson plans and curriculum for apprenticeship and skills-based training, maintaining safety equipment and training areas, and mentoring apprentices and journeypersons in the Lather trade. The instructor will also represent the training center at various events, including career fairs and open houses, and participate in staff and safety meetings. Qualifications required for this role include a completed Lather Red Seal certification with a minimum of five years of experience in the field. Leadership experience as a lead hand or foreperson is an asset. Candidates should possess strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, and demonstrate the ability to work independently.
