Insurance Sales Agent

We are seeking a licensed insurance sales professional to join a field-based team serving local communities in southern Ontario. This full-time permanent opportunity offers an initial guaranteed salary in the first year, followed by a move to commission-based pay with strong earning potential as you grow and manage an assigned portfolio. In this role, you will focus on building relationships, developing new business, and supporting existing clients with their insurance needs. Day to day, you will identify prospects, prepare quotes, issue policies within underwriting guidelines, and maintain a healthy sales pipeline. You will also work to retain current accounts, look for opportunities to expand coverage, and provide helpful service throughout the policy and claims process. The position requires someone who is self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently while managing local travel within a defined territory. Strong communication and consultative sales skills are important, along with experience in property and casualty insurance, sales, or customer service. An Ontario general insurance license or equivalent is required, and a valid driver’s licence with reliable transportation is necessary. Experience with a CRM system is helpful, and additional insurance designations or knowledge of agricultural or small business coverage would be an asset. Flexible scheduling may be needed for occasional evening or weekend community events.
