We are seeking a dedicated Infection Prevention and Control Manager to lead and oversee infection prevention practices within a healthcare setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing an organized infection prevention and control program that complies with regulatory requirements and established standards.
Key responsibilities include providing leadership and supervision to nursing staff, including Screeners, RNs, RPNs, and PSWs. The Infection Prevention and Control Manager will manage recruitment, performance evaluations, and staff development, addressing any compliance or behavioral issues as necessary.
The role also involves monitoring and auditing infection trends, conducting surveillance and screening programs, and coordinating staff testing clinics. Collaboration with local public health and hospital partners is essential for outbreak management, including leading daily meetings and ensuring effective communication with all stakeholders during outbreaks.
Candidates should possess strong leadership skills, a commitment to teamwork, and a passion for improving healthcare environments. A background in infection prevention, nursing, or public health is preferred.
