Position: Human Resources & People Operations Manager (Contract) Location: Hybrid (2 days remote, 3 days in-person); fully remote options may be available based on location. Scheduling: Full-time (35 hours/week) Compensation: $90,000 - $120,000 CAD annually, plus paid time off and benefits Duration: June 2026 - May 2028 (extensions based on performance available) We are seeking an experienced and proactive Human Resources & People Operations Manager to establish and enhance our people function. This role is crucial within a growing organization (20–25 team members) and involves both hands-on execution and strategic partnership with leadership. Responsibilities include managing day-to-day HR operations such as payroll, contracts, recruitment, and employee support, as well as designing scalable systems and fostering a strong company culture. The ideal candidate will thrive in creating structure from ambiguity and will be dedicated to building a human-centered workplace where employees feel supported and connected to their work. Key responsibilities include managing the full employee lifecycle, overseeing payroll and compliance, designing foundational HR systems, leading recruitment efforts, and implementing performance management frameworks.
