Human Resources Manager

We are looking for an experienced HR professional to support a growing team and take ownership of day-to-day people operations. This role reports to senior leadership and covers the full employee journey, from hiring and onboarding through performance support, employee relations, and offboarding. The position is offered on an initial fixed-term basis to cover a leave of absence, with the possibility of becoming ongoing depending on business needs and performance. In this role, you will help shape practical HR processes that can scale with the organization. You will partner with managers on recruitment, workforce planning, employee concerns, performance discussions, compensation changes, and benefits coordination. You will also maintain accurate HR records, support policy updates, and help ensure compliance with applicable employment legislation. A key part of the job is building trusted relationships, handling sensitive matters professionally, and contributing to a positive workplace culture. The successful candidate will bring several years of progressive HR experience in a generalist, manager, or business partner capacity. Strong knowledge of Canadian employment practices is important, along with experience in employee relations, hiring, HR administration, and payroll or benefits support. Comfort with HR systems, reporting, and common office software is expected. Experience mentoring others and a post-secondary HR background are assets. Flexible remote work may be available.
