General Manager
Reporting to the Director, the General Manager is responsible for leading site-based operations and providing overall direction to a multidisciplinary team. This role oversees the day-to-day operational and administrative activities of the community, with a focus on delivering high-quality care, strong customer service, and a positive resident experience.
The General Manager is accountable for implementing standardized regional and clinical policies and procedures, supporting effective clinical service delivery, and fostering a safe, respectful, and supportive work environment. Working collaboratively with team members and supervisors, the role requires strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Key responsibilities include oversight of the site operating budget, monitoring labour and resource use, ensuring direct care hour accountability, and supporting occupancy and marketing initiatives to meet community goals. The successful candidate will actively engage and mobilize teams, develop others, and contribute to a healthy organizational culture.
This position requires sound business acumen, the ability to make evidence-informed decisions, and a commitment to accountability, continuous improvement, and resident-centered service. The ideal candidate will be self-aware, resilient, collaborative, and capable of leading with integrity while achieving operational objectives.
