We are seeking a finite element analysis engineer to support a range of structural simulation projects in a consulting environment. In this role, you will use numerical methods to evaluate mechanical performance, strengthen product designs, and help clients make informed technical decisions. You will carry out model setup, meshing, solution runs, and post-processing, while also preparing simplified 3D geometry for analysis and performing supporting hand calculations when needed.
The position involves working on varied assignments, including projects in regulated and high-security industries, alongside engineers, designers, and external stakeholders. You will interpret simulation results, present findings in a clear way, and prepare technical reports and calculation notes. Depending on the project, you may also contribute to automation scripts, thermal or structural optimization, and the study of nonlinear, dynamic, contact, or fatigue-related behavior.
The ideal candidate holds a degree in mechanical engineering and has several years of experience with finite element methods. Practical experience with a major simulation platform and familiarity with nonlinear analysis are important. Knowledge of CAD tools, scripting languages, and related structural concepts is an advantage. Strong communication skills in both French and English, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential. Eligibility for security clearance is required.
