Financial Controller

We are seeking a hands-on Financial Controller to lead the accounting function and oversee financial reporting, internal controls, and treasury within a multi-entity financial services structure. Reporting to senior leadership, this role combines technical accounting expertise with business partnership, ensuring the accuracy of financial results, the strength of the control environment, and timely reporting to support operational and strategic decisions. This is a high-impact opportunity for someone comfortable in a fast-growing organization who can manage consolidation across multiple entities and help build scalable processes as the business expands organically and through acquisitions. Key responsibilities include owning day-to-day accounting operations such as general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll; leading monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes; and maintaining accounting policies, procedures, and working papers. You will prepare and present consolidated and entity-level financial statements and management reports, provide analysis of performance, margins, and trends, and support budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow planning. Additional responsibilities include managing accounting for lending receivables and related expected credit loss provisions, reconciling platform, payment, and banking data to the general ledger, overseeing liquidity and treasury functions, maintaining internal controls, coordinating external audits, and supporting indirect and corporate tax compliance with external advisors. A CPA designation is required, with a U.S. CPA considered an asset. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a Controller or senior accounting role, along with strong Excel skills and experience with an ERP or accounting system. Multi-entity consolidation and financial services experience are preferred.
