Financial Controller

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join a growing biotech organization. This role will report to senior finance leadership and will be responsible for the integrity of the accounting function, financial reporting, and compliance processes as the business continues to expand. The successful candidate will oversee the full accounting cycle, including month-end and year-end close, preparation of accurate financial statements, and ongoing compliance with applicable accounting standards. The role will also involve handling complex accounting matters related to inventory, production costing, and revenue recognition in a manufacturing environment. A key part of the position is building strong internal controls, well-documented reconciliations, and organized audit support to help prepare the company for its first formal audit. You will also manage financial reporting and compliance for grant-funded programs, ensuring requirements are met and reporting is completed on time. Support with new funding applications may also be required. In addition, this person will serve as a technical accounting resource to teams across the business and help improve workflows between accounting systems and operational software to maintain accurate data. The ideal candidate holds a CPA designation or is close to completing it, with several years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in corporate or public practice settings.
