Financial Accountant

We are seeking a Financial Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of financial accounting principles, including familiarity with US GAAP, and demonstrate excellent problem-solving abilities. This role is essential in supporting the monthly accounting cycle and ensuring the accuracy of the general ledger through account analysis and the preparation of journal and adjusting entries. Key responsibilities include analyzing general ledger accounts for variances, maintaining the accuracy of account classifications, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and coordinating month-end reconciliations. The candidate will assist in month-end closing activities, prepare financial statements, and manage fixed asset accounting, including depreciation and amortization entries. Additional tasks involve reconciling corporate bank accounts, preparing sales tax returns, and supporting audit processes while ensuring compliance with relevant controls. The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field and have three to five years of relevant experience. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is required, and familiarity with accounting software is a plus.
