Finance Manager

Manager, Finance Reporting to the Director, Finance, the Manager, Finance is responsible for overseeing day-to-day financial operations, supporting sound financial management, and ensuring compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and regulations. This role leads budgeting, accounting, reporting, and internal controls, while supervising accounting staff and supporting department objectives. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing financial policies and procedures, preparing and monitoring operating and capital budgets, coordinating month-end close activities, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. The role also oversees accounts payable, accounts receivable, general accounting, payroll, reconciliations, accruals, and adjustments. In addition, the Manager, Finance supports financial planning and forecasting, manages audit activities, and helps maintain accurate accounting records and files. The successful candidate will work with the Director, Finance to strengthen financial systems and controls, monitor departmental performance, and support continuous improvement. This position requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to build effective working relationships with staff, stakeholders, and external partners. Qualifications typically include experience in financial management, accounting, budget administration, reporting, and staff supervision, along with knowledge of relevant financial legislation and accounting practices. Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills are essential.
