Finance Manager, Accounting Standards and Policies

We are seeking an experienced finance professional to oversee accounting policy matters and support the resolution of complex technical accounting questions. In this role, you will provide guidance to internal finance teams, help interpret reporting requirements, and contribute to a range of special projects. You will also prepare materials for senior governance meetings and support the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining corporate accounting policies, identifying opportunities to improve finance policy frameworks, and responding to accounting inquiries in a timely manner. You will review technical issues under applicable financial reporting standards and internal policies, ensure reporting is complete and reliable, and support certification and compliance requirements. This position also involves sharing expertise across the finance function through coaching, training, and collaboration with colleagues. The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field, along with a professional accounting designation or an equivalent advanced qualification. Several years of progressive experience in accounting or finance is required, ideally within a large organization handling high transaction volumes. Strong knowledge of accounting standards, controls, and reporting practices is important, as well as advanced spreadsheet skills and the ability to communicate financial information clearly to senior leaders.
