Finance Director

We are seeking an experienced finance leader to oversee a national finance operation for a growing business. In this role, you will act as a strategic partner to senior leaders while also ensuring strong financial governance, accurate reporting, and effective control processes. The position requires someone who is proactive, commercially minded, and comfortable influencing decisions that support growth and long-term performance. You will lead budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis, helping the business understand risks, opportunities, and actions needed to stay on track. A key part of the role is maintaining reliable financial controls and ensuring compliance with relevant reporting and regulatory requirements. You will also work closely with external auditors and support the annual audit cycle. The role includes responsibility for building and developing a high-performing finance team. You will coach team members, improve ways of working, and encourage collaboration across the wider organization. You will also contribute to finance transformation initiatives, including process improvement and the use of modern automation tools to increase efficiency. Success in this position will come from strong leadership, clear communication, sound judgment, and the ability to work across multiple stakeholders in a fast-moving environment.
