Executive Director (Retirement Living)

Executive Director – Retirement Living Montreal, Québec (Northeast) | Full-Time | On-Site Leadership Role Base salary: $100,000 plus bonus and benefits An established retirement living community is seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead day-to-day operations and support a positive resident experience. This role is well suited to a confident operational leader who can balance resident satisfaction, team leadership, building operations, occupancy, and financial performance. Experience in retirement living is preferred, but candidates with backgrounds in property management, hospitality, facilities management, healthcare operations, or multi-unit residential management are encouraged to apply. In this role, you will have overall responsibility for the successful operation of the residence, including resident services, dining, recreation, maintenance, housekeeping, administration, compliance, occupancy, and budget management. You will act as the key leader for the community, helping ensure a safe, well-run, and service-focused environment. Key responsibilities include overseeing daily operations, maintaining the building and grounds, managing preventative maintenance and repairs, supporting resident satisfaction, leading and developing staff, monitoring operating and capital budgets, controlling expenses, supporting occupancy goals, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, health and safety requirements, and internal policies. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of progressive leadership experience, strong budget and team management skills, and excellent communication and relationship-building abilities. Bilingual French and English is preferred. Post-secondary education in a relevant field is considered an asset.
