Executive Director

A community sports organization is seeking an experienced and collaborative Executive Director to lead operations, support long-term growth, and help ensure the continued delivery of quality youth and recreational programs in the local area. This is a full-time, permanent leadership role reporting to a volunteer board. The successful candidate will provide senior-level leadership across administration, operations, finance, and program delivery. Working closely with the board, this person will turn strategic priorities into practical plans, track progress, and help the organization stay aligned with its mission. The role also involves guiding staff and contractors, setting clear expectations, and building a strong culture of accountability and teamwork. Key responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day operations, supporting good governance, preparing timely information for the board, and helping maintain effective systems, records, and internal controls. The Executive Director will also build and maintain relationships with members, community partners, local organizations, sponsors, and other stakeholders. In addition, the role will contribute to financial sustainability by supporting revenue development and identifying opportunities for growth. The ideal candidate brings leadership experience, strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work effectively with both volunteers and paid staff in a mission-driven environment.
