Engineering Director

Engineering Director responsible for overseeing building, grounds, and physical plant maintenance with a strong focus on safety, security, and asset protection. This role manages engineering operations, preventative maintenance, capital projects, and energy conservation initiatives while ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and internal standards. The position also leads emergency response efforts for facility-related issues. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED with at least 6 years of experience in engineering, maintenance, or a related field, along with technical training in HVAC-R, electrical, or plumbing. Alternatively, a 2-year degree in building and construction, engineering, mechanics, or a related discipline with at least 4 years of relevant experience is acceptable. Strong knowledge of building systems, life safety systems, and construction oversight is required. Key responsibilities include managing budgets, reviewing financial and operating reports, controlling costs, administering service contracts, and supporting long-term asset protection planning. The role also involves supervising engineering teams, ensuring fair employee treatment, maintaining licenses and permits, and coordinating projects to completion within budget and timeline expectations.
