We are seeking a seasoned manager to lead a division responsible for urban forestry, horticulture, and related green infrastructure activities within a municipal environment. In this role, you will act as a strategic advisor and play a key part in planning, coordinating, and improving services that support sustainable urban development and the upkeep of public green spaces.
You will guide several specialized teams, ensure strong alignment across areas of work, and support the implementation of organizational changes. A major part of the position involves fostering collaboration, maintaining high standards of service, and helping teams deliver consistent, effective results in a complex and sometimes fast-moving context.
The role also includes advising senior leadership on technical and operational matters, participating in cross-functional initiatives, and representing the division with internal stakeholders, external partners, and the public when needed. You will contribute to budget planning, contract follow-up, resource optimization, and operational risk management. In urgent situations, you may also take part in the broader municipal response.
We are looking for someone who brings solid leadership, sound judgment, and the ability to communicate clearly about technical subjects. The ideal candidate can manage sensitive files with tact, support specialized professionals, strengthen partnerships, and create a workplace culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
