Division Manager, Public Works and Logistics

We are seeking an experienced manager to oversee field operations, municipal fleet activities, and the coordination of public works logistics. In this role, you will help ensure that road maintenance and related operational services are delivered efficiently, safely, and in line with applicable policies and regulations throughout the year. You will be responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and monitoring the work of your team in collaboration with senior leadership. This includes supervising front-line supervisors, supporting hiring efforts, conducting performance reviews, identifying training needs, and promoting employee development and knowledge sharing. You will also contribute to workplace health and safety initiatives, help implement prevention measures, and support continuous improvement practices. The position also involves coordinating work schedules and priorities, following up on requests and complaints, recommending purchases of goods and services within purchasing guidelines, and contributing to budget preparation and capital planning. You may also act on behalf of the department lead when required. The ideal candidate has a college-level qualification in urban infrastructure supervision or an equivalent field, along with several years of relevant experience in a similar role and in team management.
