We are seeking an experienced senior leader to oversee a multidisciplinary team focused on reducing workplace illness and injury across the province. This position is responsible for directing prevention-related programs and services for employers, workers, and other stakeholders, ensuring they are delivered efficiently and in line with applicable legislation, policy, and organizational priorities. The role also leads the development of a provincial prevention strategy and supports implementation efforts in collaboration with external partners. This work involves coordinating initiatives that help reduce workplace risks and strengthen overall prevention outcomes. Reporting to an executive leader, this position is part of a broader leadership team that addresses complex public policy and service-delivery issues. Key responsibilities include setting strategic direction, guiding program planning and execution, supporting stakeholder relationships, and building a high-performing management team. The successful candidate will also oversee modernization efforts, including system and process improvements that support better service delivery. The ideal candidate will bring a graduate degree in a related field, a recognized safety designation, and several years of management experience. Strong leadership, strategic thinking, project oversight, and communication skills are essential. Knowledge of relevant workplace health and safety legislation and workers’ compensation principles is important, along with the ability to travel as required.
