The Director, Pharmaceutical Relations and Strategy will be responsible for developing and enhancing strategic partnerships with pharmaceutical suppliers, focusing on specialty pharmacy and complex pharmaceutical categories. This role involves leading contracting activities that support all pharmaceutical operations and will report directly to the CFO.
Key responsibilities include managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and driving commercial performance initiatives. The Director will identify and translate supplier agreements into actionable commercial opportunities and operational value across various business lines. This position requires strong leadership skills and experience in executive-level strategy and decision-making.
The role encompasses developing and maintaining partnerships with key pharmaceutical manufacturers, leading communication strategies, and serving as the senior escalation point for supplier-related issues. Additionally, the Director will oversee the review and negotiation of agreements, identify risks and opportunities, and execute sourcing strategies to optimize costs and ensure supply continuity.
Collaboration with finance, operations, and pharmacy leadership is essential to align purchasing strategies with organizational goals. Candidates should possess 6-10 years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical relations, procurement, or purchasing, along with strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
