We are seeking an experienced leader to oversee a pension regulation division within a public-sector regulatory organization. In this role, you will guide a team responsible for supervising pension plans, supporting compliance with applicable legislation, and contributing to policy development. Reporting to senior leadership, you will help set priorities, manage resources, and ensure the division delivers effective regulatory services.
The position includes advising internal and external stakeholders on pension-related matters, supporting preparation for hearings and other formal proceedings, and helping coordinate updates to legislation and regulations when needed. You will also serve as a backup to the senior official responsible for pension oversight and may represent the division in meetings with counterparts at regional and national levels.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of pension legislation, regulatory practices, and the broader government environment. You should have proven leadership experience, the ability to make independent decisions, and sound judgment in complex situations. Strong research, analysis, writing, and communication skills are essential, along with experience in negotiation and dispute resolution. The role requires a professional who can build effective teams, work well with senior stakeholders, and interact confidently with both the public and industry representatives.
A degree in law, actuarial science, business, or a related field is required, along with extensive relevant experience in pension supervision, regulation, or advisory work.
