This leadership role is responsible for guiding quality, performance, privacy, and data governance functions within a health and human services organization. Reporting to senior leadership, the position supports executive planning and helps ensure services, operations, and reporting meet organizational goals, legal requirements, and accepted standards.
Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining policies, procedures, and controls that support data accuracy, information security, compliance, and operational quality. The role oversees performance measurement frameworks, including the selection of indicators, review of results, and use of trends to support improvement efforts. It also contributes to risk management planning, accreditation readiness, audit coordination, and the preparation of required documentation.
A major part of the position involves privacy leadership. This includes maintaining privacy practices, supporting compliance with applicable health information privacy laws, ensuring staff understand their obligations, and overseeing training related to confidentiality and information handling. The role also manages privacy inquiries, access and correction requests, assessments, audits, and response efforts related to suspected breaches.
In addition, the position provides leadership to direct reports through coaching, delegation, performance management, and day-to-day oversight. The successful candidate will help build a strong culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and responsible information management.
