Director of Network Operations

We are seeking a senior operations leader to oversee a growing telecommunications network and the technical functions that support it. In this role, you will be responsible for daily network operations, infrastructure planning, service delivery, and performance management across a fast-expanding fiber-based environment. This is a hands-on leadership position with influence over both strategy and execution. You will guide the development, deployment, and upkeep of network and communications systems, while ensuring reliability, security, and room for future growth. The role includes managing budgets, working with suppliers and service partners, and tracking service levels and operational performance. You will also lead a team of technical staff, supporting their development and fostering a collaborative, accountable culture. Additional responsibilities include overseeing projects from planning through completion, maintaining compliance with applicable regulations and industry standards, and improving procedures to strengthen day-to-day operations. You will work closely with internal leaders and other departments to understand needs, communicate progress, and deliver effective solutions. The ideal candidate brings senior-level experience in telecommunications operations, strong technical knowledge of network and voice/data environments, proven team leadership, and solid project and budget management skills. A related degree or professional certifications would be an asset, but are not required. This is a hybrid role with some travel and flexibility as operational needs change.
