Director of Finance

Director of Finance We are seeking a Director of Finance to join a growing manufacturing organization. This role is a key member of the leadership team and reports directly to the executive team. The successful candidate will provide financial clarity, strategic insight, and strong leadership to support decision-making across the business. Responsibilities include leading and developing the finance and accounting team, overseeing accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP, and driving the annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning process. The role will also manage job costing and cost accounting across production jobs and custom orders, oversee inventory valuation and controls for raw materials and finished goods, and monitor cash flow and working capital. Additional responsibilities include managing the year-end audit and ensuring compliance with tax and statutory obligations, while acting as a trusted financial advisor to senior leadership. Requirements include a CPA designation, post-secondary education in finance, accounting, or a related field, and 5+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role. Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, budgeting, forecasting, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel is required. Manufacturing experience is preferred, though strong cost accounting experience from other industries will be considered. Excellent communication skills are essential.
