Director of Corporate & Financial Services/Treasurer

A dynamic and growing municipality is seeking a Director of Corporate & Financial Services/Treasurer to join its leadership team. This role will report directly to the Chief Administrative Officer and will be integral in providing strategic financial leadership and oversight to support informed decision-making and long-term financial sustainability. Key responsibilities include offering strategic financial advice to the CAO and Council, leading the Corporate & Financial Services Department, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation. The successful candidate will oversee financial planning, budgeting, accounting, procurement, revenue management, and risk management, while also managing information technology and facilities functions. The Director will be responsible for the preparation of annual operating and capital budgets, ensuring accurate financial reporting in line with Public Sector Accounting Standards. Additionally, the role involves leading departmental staff, fostering a culture of accountability and professional development, and contributing to corporate initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
