Director of Accounting & Finance

A growing real estate company is seeking a Director of Accounting & Finance to join its team. This leadership role will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and will oversee the accounting function across a multi-entity platform that includes stabilized rental assets and active development projects. Key responsibilities include leading financial reporting, compliance, and consolidation across various entities, managing development-stage accounting, and supporting budgeting and capital planning for both operating assets and development initiatives. The successful candidate will also manage intercompany structures and contribute to group-level financial reporting, while partnering with operations and leadership to provide insightful financial analysis. The ideal candidate will possess a CPA designation and have over 10 years of progressive experience in real estate or a related asset-based environment. Experience with income-producing properties and real estate development, including construction-phase accounting and project reporting, is essential. Strong leadership skills and the ability to build high-performing teams are required, along with a collaborative approach to working in a growth-oriented environment. This position offers a competitive salary range of $150k - $180k, plus a potential bonus of 10% - 20%. A hybrid work arrangement is available, requiring two days a week in the office.
