Director, Accounting

We are seeking a Director of Accounting to lead our accounting function within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the real estate industry and demonstrate the ability to think creatively to achieve optimal results. This role requires a proactive leader who understands the needs of partners and senior management, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. The successful candidate will be comfortable conducting presentations, facilitating meetings, and working collaboratively within a team. Key responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of accounting operations, including strategic financial decisions, month-end processes, financial reporting, and cash management. You will lead a development accounting team, support multiple projects throughout their lifecycle, and contribute to budgeting processes, cash re-forecasting, and operational forecasting. Additionally, you will implement accounting policies, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and manage the preparation of financial statements. Candidates should have a minimum of 6 years of supervisory experience and hold a CPA designation, with strong knowledge of IFRS and ASPE.
