Customs Clearance Specialist (VEHICLES)

We are seeking a Customs Clearance Specialist with a focus on vehicle shipments to join our remote team. This full-time position offers an annual salary range of CAD 60,000 to CAD 80,000. In this role, you will report to the Customs Operations Manager and be responsible for managing customs documentation, ensuring compliance with import and export laws, and facilitating smooth operations within the shipping and logistics industry. Your key responsibilities will include reviewing and processing customs documents, determining duties and taxes, processing payments on behalf of clients, and effectively communicating with stakeholders such as clients, customs authorities, partners, carriers, and freight forwarders. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of customs procedures related to vehicles, including familiarity with various vehicle types and relevant regulations. You will handle inquiries, maintain accurate client databases, and ensure timely completion of files in compliance with policies and procedures. Additionally, you will be expected to proactively seek knowledge, prioritize tasks, and manage challenging situations independently. Candidates should have experience with customs documentation, knowledge of Internal Transaction Numbers, and the ability to process entries accurately.
