We are seeking candidates for Corporate Legal Assistant positions within leading law firms. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, thrive in a busy environment, and possess the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Attention to detail is essential for success in these roles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, draft, edit, and finalize closing agendas and transactional documents related to corporate transactions and lending.
- Organize and track the delivery of closing documents.
- Draft renewal agreements for lending transactions.
- Prepare annual resolutions and compile record books.
- Communicate professionally with internal and external clients.
- Proofread and check documents for accuracy.
- Manage deadlines and produce high-quality work.
- Handle a variety of administrative tasks and manage accounting duties.
- Arrange meetings and manage calendars.
- Take initiative and maintain confidentiality.
Core Skills and Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Legal Assistant in a corporate law setting.
- Successful completion of a post-secondary Legal Assistant or Law Clerk program.
- Familiarity with document comparison software and Microsoft 365 applications.
- Ability to handle time-sensitive situations and manage multiple demands.
- Strong problem-solving skills, good judgment, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a detail-oriented approach.
