Corporate Controller

We are seeking an experienced Corporate Controller to oversee financial reporting, joint venture accounting, treasury activities, and day-to-day accounting operations for a resource-sector organization. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this full-time role is based in Vancouver and supports both corporate finance and project teams. The successful candidate will take ownership of quarterly and annual financial statements, management discussion and analysis, and other required regulatory filings prepared in accordance with IFRS and applicable Canadian and U.S. reporting requirements. The role also includes maintaining accounting policies, preparing supporting schedules and working papers, and coordinating with external auditors, tax advisors, and other professional service providers. In addition, you will help respond to tax authority questions and audit requests. A key part of the position involves preparing and reconciling monthly and quarterly reports for joint venture partners, tracking costs and equity movements, supporting cash calls, and assisting with related audits and tax schedules. You will also oversee accounts payable, payroll reviews, general ledger entries, and account reconciliations to ensure transactions are accurate and properly authorized. The role further includes assisting with budgeting and cash flow forecasts, managing payment approvals, supporting banking relationships, monitoring credit usage, and preparing invoices for partners. Additional duties may include government reporting, system and controls review, and process improvements.
