Controller

We are seeking a Controller to join a dynamic and rapidly growing organization within the eCommerce sector. This role will report directly to the CFO and will be responsible for overseeing core accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, and financial systems. The ideal candidate will play a key role in building a scalable finance infrastructure to support ongoing growth. Key responsibilities include managing day-to-day accounting operations such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, inventory accounting, and payroll. The Controller will lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in accordance with GAAP, manage audits, internal controls, and ensure tax compliance across various jurisdictions. Additionally, this role will involve cash flow management, forecasting, and treasury operations, as well as improving and scaling financial systems and reporting processes. Candidates should possess over 10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with at least 3-5 years in a Controller or senior finance leadership role in a high-growth environment. A CPA designation and strong expertise in GAAP and reporting are required, along with hands-on experience in accounting operations, treasury, and compliance. Familiarity with ERP systems and a startup mindset with a strong attention to detail are essential. Preferred qualifications include experience in eCommerce or inventory-heavy businesses, exposure to ERP implementation or upgrades, and experience working with investors or board reporting.
