Contremaître - Maintenance de véhicules lourds

The primary role involves supervising the maintenance department for heavy vehicles, ensuring optimal functionality and efficiency of rolling stock and production lines. Responsibilities include implementing processes for improving the reliability of mechanical workshop facilities, analyzing maintenance needs and spare parts requirements based on priority, cost, and delivery time, and maintaining a repair workshop and parts inventory. The supervisor will provide technical support for maintenance and repair operations, manage personnel in accordance with company policies, foster a harmonious work environment, and identify employee development opportunities. Participation in recruitment, training staff on applicable safety equipment, enforcing health and safety standards, and conducting accident investigations are also key tasks. The role requires collaboration with collection supervisors, planning work schedules while considering operational constraints, and ensuring effective communication among maintenance teams. The supervisor will manage work hours, oversee inventory and procurement of necessary tools and parts, and handle budget responsibilities. Candidates should possess a diploma in heavy vehicle mechanics or relevant experience, with a minimum of five years as a heavy vehicle mechanic and three to five years in maintenance team management. A valid Class 3 driver's license is preferred, along with intermediate Excel skills and knowledge of continuous improvement tools.
